Group Riding Introduction Program (GRIP)

Whether you’re a seasoned rider looking to perfect your skills, a group of friends learning to ride together, or someone taking the very first step in a lifelong motorcycle journey. GRIP can get you started.

GRIP is not motorcycle instruction. It’s a seminar about safe group riding fundamentals, so you can be part of a unique community of dedicated, spirited individuals who share a passion for the open road.

Introduction consists of a short seminar covering group riding fundamentals followed by a short ride of 10 to 20 miles. The seminar will cover all areas of group riding safety and hand signals to communicate with while group riding. A short 15 minute video produced by Riders Edge/Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) will be shown demonstrating proper group riding. The ride after will stay away from downtown and will instead head North to Robinson Loop and around through Sterling and will return to the Harley Shop to talk about the group riding experience. This is also a good chance for our newer members to meet some of the officers and road captains as well as learn our group riding techniques. We want to personally invite every member to attend one of these rides and enjoy a short seminar on group riding.                                               Kerry
